My gf and I adopted our dog Leia "Brownie" as she was known at the shelter in May of 2016. Lenawee held an adoption event at our local Petsmart here in Monroe and my gf fell in love with her. We made the trek to Lenawee the very next day to bring her to her forever home. Leia was very nervous and shy, but shared a very special bond with a few of the workers there. I would like to thank Danielle and the rest of the staff at LHS for helping me surrender my 2 maine coon cats and finding them a loving home in less than 24 hrs. I miss them dearly but am so happy they are In a loving home and are being loved. They are two exceptional babies and am sure their new family is just as exceptional. Thank you again you are terrific.
Best Birthday present from my husband was a donation to LHS. We are at the age of needing very little and we love animals.
