I have never written a review for any restaurant before so it’s fitting that Lem’s will be my first. Lem’s BBQ is the holy grail of authentic real deal BBQ spots in all of Chicago. I’ve never been disappointed with them and I’ve been going there as long as I remember and my mother as long as she can remember. They smoke all their meats to perfection and that includes their most delicious hot links I’ve ever tasted. I went there today to get a small order of rib tips. .and I WILL NEVER BE BACK THERE ..AND I'M CALLING THE BOARD OF HEALTH ON THIS PLACE. ..NASTY ASS FOOD ..RUDE PEOPLE. .CAN'T WAIT TIL THEY SHUT YOU DOWN LIKE THEY DID CURT'S BBQ ON 82 COTTAGE GROVE

I ordered a slab and a center cut. There was a long line but it moved quickly. The ribs were excellent and flavorful.. undeniable the best ribs in the city.My only complaint is that it was not enough sauce.

Today was my first time here. I got a large combo. The tips were good and tender. Not enough sauce and i wanted hot but i didn't taste any spice in the sauce. The links were pretty good but i wish it had 1 more and wish they were spicy. I like that it wasn't that long of a wait even though it was about 7 people ahead of me. Probably woulda gave a 5 if the sauce and links were spicy
