I had a really great experience at Legacy Midwifery. The team is super responsive and kind and I felt extremely well-taken care of. Would highly recommend.
I had an incredible birth with legacy midwifery! I had a very uneventful pregnancy which is fantastic. My appointments were thankfully very boring for the duration of my pregnancy. As someone else mentioned they do give care under the medical standard because they MUST, But you can always refuse. I found some of the midwives to be more open minded in that regard, but just remember it’s always your choice. Otherwise my birth was everything I wanted and more! Such a positive experience. Every provider is kind, compassionate, is a great listener and patient advocate. Cannot recommend enough!
Pros: Solid professionalism and bedside manner, they are very responsive with all questions. The midwives deliver on the same floor as the OBs so if you need an emergency C-section (like I did), it’s just a quick wheel down the hall. Their nurses and MAs are also a 10/10. Cons: Some of their policies appear to be a bit more serving of the hospital and/or public health needs rather than that of individual patients. Mixed feelings so far. Visits are polite but short and rushed (5-10 minutes) where each time there is so pressure to join the group visits instead of individual ones. It is more convenient for them of course but doesn’t work for everyone else’s schedule. Their billing dept is hard to get complete information from. I was told there would be a global charge that covers all standard parts of pregnancy care and delivery.
