I had a 2:15 appt. i called to ask if it would be okay to come later and was told that it would not be possible, that the clinic had a full schedule and i needed to be at clinic no later than 2:30PM. I got there on time and then waited until 3:15 to see Dr. Mitchells nurse, the clinic was not that busy. His nurse told me that she was submitting my case to my insurance company to get approval for my treatment, that is what the appointment was for. I had to pay a $40 copay for that.
Dr. Mitchel is an excellent, professional dr. He spends a sufficient time explaining your problem and answers all questions you may have. His staff members are also excellent and are very friendly and all have a great attitude. It seems that they love their job, and like working for Dr. Mitchel. I highly recommend visiting his office. I wish I had listened to my gut instinct and the reviews.This is the WORST run office I have ever experienced. I was NOT told my appt was with the nurse practitioner NOT the doctor. Then my appointment was interrupted to ask what latte she wanted. My colonoscopy was supposedly scheduled at the hospital due to my lung disease & danger with anesthesia. When I arrived at 6a.m.I was told I was NOT on the schedule. Apparently this is not the 1st time this has happened. GO ELSEWHERE!
Dr. Mitchel is courteous, friendly. He knows GI medicine very well, including new and up-to-date therapies. His treatment of my stomach condition was quite effective, and he was willing to spend a lot of time getting my insurance billing problem straightened out. I recommend him highly.
Great doctor but office staff ( scheduler) does not return calls for appointment. What is the problem? Is he aware?
Dr Mitchel is amazing! I can rely on him for accurate and up to the minute recommendations regarding patient's treatment. He also has a passion for his patients that is very refreshing to see in this day and age. He wants personal updates (no matter the time) to ensure that each and every one of his patients are receiving the best care. His staff is very knowledgeable, caring and will fight for what is needed for their therapy. I cannot express my gratitude enough for such a wonderful practice!
There have been several changes within the office that has greatly improved overall experience. I noticed the wait time was far less than it was previously, there is now a comfortable, organized waiting area along with a new friendly face at front check-in. Everyone from Vanessa at the front desk to Dave and Mandy in nursing and Vicki at check-out seemed happier, pleasant and went above and beyond. Dr Mitchel is bar far the best GI dr and to see the changes made my visit 10x's better!
rude staff..poor follow up response,difficult to get your test results,hepatology nurse rude ,unprofessional believes patient care and follow up is a favor dr mitchei is kind and knowledgeable but his staff will eventually ruin his practice
