Dr. Nakamura is an excellent doctor, knowledgeable, thorough, and kind.
Dr Nakamura seems to be a good doctor but she hardly spent time with me or listen. After having a CT Scan she wanted me to see her NP., I much rather have seen her she is the one who ordered the CT Scan and there is something serious wherein I should have seen the doctor. I left a text message for the NP a few days ago because you can’t speak to a live person. I still haven’t heard back and I will be having back surgery soon but need to clear up my bladder issue first. Still waiting for a call.
TBC, I never met Dr. Nakamura. The front office recieved my auth & REASON for visit, I called in November 2024 and scheduled for January 2025. The DAY OF my visit, the front office called my husband to tell him they had canceled my appointment because this doctor is the wrong doctor to see for what I needed. It's a hippa violation to contact anyone but me regarding my health. The front office knew what I was coming for because it was in my prior authorization and I told them when I called to schedule. Dr. Nakamura is knowledgeable in her field. I had been to a urologist previously who had done a cystogram procedure and found nothing, then tried to scare me into having an expensive and invasive procedure done unnecessarily because of a suspected diverticulum that might lead to bladder cancer. Dr. Nakamura listened to me and offered alternative low cost options to confirm the possible diverticulum before resorting to invasive and expensive $1k treatments.
