Always a good resource on bills, school board, special elections, and of course basic elections. Information on bills, tells you what the effect of the bill would be, NOT just the name (which is often and intentionally at times MISLEADING), also who favors or opposes bills. Invaluable guidance for elections to learn the importance of your vote and to explain the candidates and proposals. Not just for women; I have sent men to their Web site to learn the info for elections.
LWV conducts policy research, invites opposing points of view, provides multiple opportunities and venues for public education and participation in political discussion, and publishes carefully considered positions on key concerns for our communities.
