Lazlo's has gone far downhill from it's awesome beginnings. We had dinner there Sunday night and it was so awful, we can't bring ourselves to ever go back. Our service was good and the beer was cold, and that's about the end of good experiences. I ordered the "Voodoo" chicken with a baked potato and beans. The beans were great. The chicken was slathered with a thick cheese? sauce that I had to scrape off. The baked potato was about the size of a small bread roll. So tiny. Food was good. But everything was timely. Getting drinks, getting food , getting our waiter was pretty epic. But it felt as if it was an off night for the crew. I am sure there are 5 star nights, just not this one .
Unfortunately, had to wait almost an hour before we realized we were not going to be served after we got our drinks. This was a first for this restaurant which usually goes above and beyond in service.
We were spending the night in Lincoln on our way back home to St. Louis and had dinner at Lazlo’s. The staff & Food was excellent. When in Lincoln, eat at Lazlo’s.
We love the beer bread, beer cheese soup, and enjoy the steaks. I think they struggle with staffing (under staffed sometimes). They care and try hard to make things right.
