My son purchased a home and had to use this escrow and title company. Not one time did my son or myself able to talk to James Stott. I had left a few messages with him and never got a call back. Communications were very poor.
James Stott failed to close escrow by refusing to deal with lenders, withholding documents & Communications, wiring instructions. He tried to trick me to get me to sign a form that would give him power to pay anyone. He pushed for a $839,125.00 payout to an attorney without requiring an option exercise or payment to escrow. Alexander Jacob Gershen provided a worthless quick claim deed that could not be filed on title and was going to be "self notarized" by a named party. Classic scam & Fraud.
