Tried to get my wife care with an almost empty ED when she was having high blood loss after losing a blood clot from childbirth a few weeks ago. Not only did they bring multiple other people in who had just arrived before us but we also had to wait over 15 minutes WHILE BLOOD IS FLOWING. Call the fire department for a better triage than the person at the front desk. As an update she ended up having to get a unit of blood and get transported via ambulance to KU.
Gaslighting a Veteran who on 01-19-26, coming to the ER for a possible femoral DVT, discounting their pain, then passing off test results as typical. Then, with a flippant attitude, says we’ll get you a pill, and we’ll get you outta here. Overly aggressively as in disgust, sliding open and closed the patient room door. Would you like being treated this way?!? If you’re a Veteran, don’t go to LMH.
Phenomenal experience. Showed up around 4AM with a pericarditis flare up. Within 5 minutes I was in the back being worked on. The staff was gentle and I was comfortable shortly after arriving. Nobody ever wants to be in the ER but the people here made it less daunting. 5 stars!!
I was taken in for a depression related issue and the front desk lady was so rude, the nurses and nurse techs were incompetent (even yelling at me) and Dr Ricke was so apathetic, And the old white haired Social worker lady was so rude and dismissive, uh Like yeah a patient just came in for a depression overdose but lets treat them like shit (then the next day my boss needed proof so i called to ask for my forms and they said they had no records, how do you loose a patient's records!!!!!!)
