I have been seeing Dr. Kondra for well over a decade now and have always been very pleased with him. I have lattice degeneration of the left retina. Just a few years back, at a routine appointment, he saw that my retina was in the process of tearing and he was able to do immediate laser surgery and saved my eye sight before the retina had the chance to even detach.
Besides the long wait to be seen, Dr. Kondra's first words to me were because you are a cap pt (Medicare HMO), you shouldn't be here unless you have something acutely wrong with you. I'd go broke seeing referrals from primary docs. Even though I was due for a retinologist follow-up with my previous insurance he was very rude and did a very cursory exam. I would not recommend his services at all. Also, the first appointment I made was not on their books and it had to be rescheduled.
