We took our son to Lawley Honda to buy his first car. He picked a 2015 Toyota Rav 4. Less than 24 hours after purchase the service engine light came on. I promptly called the dealership and my son drove the 110 miles (one way) to have them check the car and correct the issue. When he got there they basically blew him off, treated him like a dumb kid, told him it was the fuel cap because it wasn't the original part even though that's NOT what the code indicated the problem was. I cannot say enough good things about Mike Santa Maria who manages the service center at Lawley Honda. I showed up on Saturday to pick up a part that I ordered and didn’t realize the service center had different hours than the dealership and the service center was closed. Having heard that I made the 1.5 hour drive, he came in FROM HOME to get me the part and was so incredibly kind and patient with me (despite this being an error that was no fault of his, it was mine). I purchased a vehicle from Lawley Honda in early September. Upon purchase of the vehicle I was given a thirty day dealer plate. Right before it was set to expire I contacted the dealership to inform them I needed a new plate. The explanation for the delay was that there was a delay getting the title from the bank. That would imply to me that I was sold the vehicle when the dealership did not have the title in hand. I waited another thirty days and contacted the dealership again asking the status of the plates. Our customer received his plates in November at his out-of-state address. There were things outside the dealership's control that contributed to this unfortunate situation.
We had a really great experience working with the service center at Lawley Honda. Carlos was really helpful and got our car fixed quickly. They also had a shuttle to take us home so we didn’t have to wait at the dealership. The shuttle drivers were really friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend Lawley Honda!
