I'm actually a native of SC so me and family made the 3-4 hour trip, Dr Lava was so understanding, compassionate and for the first time he made me feel like i was actually seen, his concern was genuine, all patients should be treated this way, all physicians should have this standard of care, thank-you for seeing me today

I saw Dr Lava for ten minutes when I had an appointment with a resident neurologist. He answered sarcastically when I asked him serious questions about the immunosuppressant treatment I was to begin. Subsequently, I have had two new-patient appointments scheduled with him that have been dropped—both without contacting me. I found out when I checked in MyChart.I was told by the scheduler, after she spoke with his assistant, that it was at his discretion to fit patients in, and I haven’t received a call back.
