We've been seeing Dr. Shin for a few years, since we moved to the area. Our son is a teen and she has been great with his annual check ups and physicals needed for school. Dr. Shin predicted a growth spurt based on this kids giant joints and she was spot on! He took off like a rocket for the stars soon after. He hasn't stopped growing yet!Anyway, she's always lovely to chat with and very personable.
Wait time is RIDICULOUS for Dr. Shin-45 minutes to over an hour in the exam room at each appointment wondering when she’s going to show up. Never an apology. She talks on and on, and doesn’t listen to what you, as a parent, have to say. I’ve even had her talk over me to the point where I had to tell her to stop talking and start listening to what I was saying. I’ve kept my kids at that practice because it’s hard to fine a pediatrician who is accepting new patients but it’s time to start looking again.
We have seen her for 15 years 3 kids later. We arrived 6 mins late for a double yearly physical and she refused to see my 11 year old. In 15 years we have never been late, never owed a bill and have waited on average 45 mins every single time. Clearly respect does not go both ways. Furthermore the office staff treats you like your at the DMV. I have heard horror stories with her and always stayed loyal- not anymore.
Dr Shin was our doctor for 15 years and 3 kids. Her typical wait time is 45 mins yet the first time we were late in 15 years she refused to give my 11yr old his yearly physical. Her office staff is condescending and treats you as if you are at the DMV.
Dr Shin is a very carry physician who takes the time to listen. Our 3 boys have been patients of hers for 15 years and we a very pleased with her care.
Dr Shin has been our pediatrician for the past 15 years. She was extremely supportive through our breastfeeding troubles, and compassionate in listening to all our concerns over the years. My children are comfortable talking to her.
We've had several poor experiences with Dr. Shin. She definitely does not listen to your concerns and is quick to offer her opinion, even if she's not right. Very condescending to parents.
