My kids have seen Dr Duncan for over 10 years now. She's outstanding, communicates clearly and right to the point (I'm guessing some people find that abrupt, but I appreciate it). She's been consistently accurate and provided appropriate treatment for their health conditions.
Our children were seen by Dr. Duncan when they were toddlers through their early teens. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. Her communication skills and empathetic capabilities were lacking. The point at which I decided to find a different provider is when she told our daughter she may have an autoimmune disease without any confirmatory tests. Our daughter was always highly anxious about her health and this sent her into a tailspin. Eventually she was diagnosed with cancer.
Had my 3 children with her for a while. I was a young mom and wasn't wise enough to realize what she was doing wasn't right. She would put hand sanitizer on her hands immediately before sticking her fingers in my newborns mouth. She would constantly make sly comments about the fact that we were low income and I was a single mom. My son complained of hearing issues and she brushed it off and diagnosed him with ADHD after looking in his ears and saying they "looked fine" Turns out he is completely deaf in 1 ear. Dr Duncan spent a lot of time with me and explained everything I needed to do to help with my medical care. Excellent caretaker. Very compassionate yet knowledgeable. I feel I am in great hands!!!
After 1 month of seeing doctor Duncan my girlfriend and I didn’t not feel satisfied with our newborn. She never really seem to sit down and spend the time to explain and tell us what our sons problems were, and when asking a questions she would rush the answer that just left us with more questions. I get we are new parents but come on? Just seems like she just genuinely wasn’t enjoying our company or time.
