After reading all these horrible reviews I decided not to go with the spine Institute. They continue to call me at least five times a day with Robo calls constantly harassing refusing to leave me alone. You are nuts to fill out the form and give them an actual phone number where they will continue to harass you and I daily basis! LEAVE ME ALONE!

Business response:

We have taken the steps necessary to ensure you receive no further contact. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I traveled from Ohio to Tampa. I was told that I would only have to pay 2000.00$ if that, depending on how much deductible I had left. I emailed my patient packet in to intake services and to the scheduler, which had Medicare as my primary insurance and Aetna as my secondary insurance. I verbally told both of them that Medicare was my primary and Aetna was my secondary. They sent me paper work to filll out sign and email back to them and the nurse. Everything was all set! So I make flight, car, hotel arrangements. I was on m... read more

Business response:

I apologize on behalf of our entire organization. We are in the business of helping people and I have no doubt there is a simple explanation, with no ill intent, for any miscommunications. Medicare does not and has never covered the full cost of our procedures, Medicare patients who choose to have surgery with us subsidize where Medicare is deficient. Upon further investigation there appeared to be some confusion with the patient's secondary (Aetna) coverage as we are a contracted provider for Aetna and those patients typica... read more

On March 16, 2018, Laser Spine Institute (listed as Laswer Spine Institute) took $500 from my HSA account without my consent and they were never given the credit card information by me. None of my doctors are affiliated with them, so I wasn't recommended to them and I am the only one who has the physical card for the HSA credit card.

Why is the BBB rating an A+ for this company when there are so many negative reviews and complaints? I was looking into starting a procedure with The Spine Institute and looking at the grade given would have deceived me. I am glad I read the reviews.

I have severe back pain, so I went to Laser Spine Institute in Tampa, Florida hoping for permanent relief. I was told I had to be a candidate for them to do the procedure. They injected me with lidocaine in the target area and told me that if I had relief, that that is how I would feel permanently after the procedure. As lidocaine is a pain killer, I had temporary relief at that time and was told that I was a candidate. However, after the procedure, my pain returned, but now it was worse. When I informed Laser Spine Institut... read more

I had a herniated disk between L4 and L5. Went to this facility at the recommendation of a friend. They insisted that I needed surgery and it was going to be very expensive. Went for a second opinion to a spinal doctor at a very reputable hospital and was told I absolutely did not need, or should I have the surgery. The reputable establishment told me that Laser Spine Institute is essentially just a money making scheme. They perform the surgery which may alleviate the pain initially but comes with the risks associated with t... read more

About 10 years ago after trying many passive treatments for severe lower back pain I contacted LSI. It is a production line. Every Appt. was 1-2 hours late except when it came time to pay $30,000. (They don't take checks). During one appt. for review of my MRI I heard Dr. St. L. say through closed door-"do you want to take this one" when he was speaking to other members of his team. Anyway I had the surgery and went for an Epidural Spine Injection the next day as I was in pain worse then before the surgery. As time went buy ... read more

I had fusion back surgery in January 2016, 2months later i was still in a lot of pain and called them. They assured me that my surgery takes 1 year to realize the benefits. Well, i am now 1 year later and I am not only still in lots of pain but i am without a doubt worse than i was before surgery. I am currently taking more pain medication than i did before surgery, They want me to go to physical therapy but I'm in too much pain to do that,
