Las Ramblas

4.2

About this business

Las Ramblas offers the most inventive tapas and Spanish delicacies on this side of the Atlantic. Take your pick from the tuna mojama, patatas bravas and boquerones. Although the red pear, strawberry and white peach sangrias are the major draws, the sandwiches provide for a light and tasty snack. The place accommodates just about 20 to 30 patrons at a time and can get crowded easily.

Best Tapas, Best Value – I love dining throughout NYC and by far, Las Ramblas is my pick for best authentic Spanish Tapas in NYC. The Tortilla Espanola is to die for. And the Patatas Bravas are perfectly spicy; they're addictive! They offer a Gazpacho soup during the summer that is made from tomatoe and cucumbers, amazing. Then there are the wines! While many rave over the sangria, it's all about the Spanish wines for me. Ask any server to suggest something interesting and you're bound to fall in love with yet another Spanis... read more

Disappointing – Way, and I mean way too crowded. Very small tables and very cramped. They couldn't fit all our food in the small table. The food was not good. You get so little for the money you spend. Needless to say the main course dish should've been advertised as an appetizer instead. The food was nothing special. Now the service. They kept giving our food to wrong table, and we had to let them know that that was our dish. It was not just a one time thing, it was constant. We dine out A LOT, and this was the most subpar ... read more

great ambiance – It' s very nice place. The tapas are very original and well made, and the wine list interesting. But the best quality of this place is the friendliness of the staff and of the hard working owner, Nathalie. Not inexpensive, though.

the foods good...the people better – We were meeting friends at this "top tapas" place (as listed on citysearch). having never been there, we thought that the small dining room would be cozy and add ambiance. We called on the way and was greated by a very warm and nice woman. upon arriving, we found this place to be amazingly small. Pictures can not convey it, but they somehow fit 25+ people in this place...all very happy to be there. The staff is VERY warm and the food wonderful. I was told that during the week, it was much... read more

Cheap tasty food, delicious sangrea – Brochetas de ses with the wine reduction accompanied with red wine sangrea and friends laughter, what a nice place.

Great! – Las Ramblas i one of my favorite places. The food is amazing (try chanquettes, octopus salad, cheese plate is a MUST) and the wine selection is outstanding. The staff is energetic, friendly and knows their wine. They always come up with special events and different ideas of how to serve their wine and food (like wine flights or specials for different occasions). Deffinitely recommend this place to everyone! It's always packed and they don't accept reservations, so try your luck by being there early.

Great Tapas – It was a Saturday night, we were walking by and we never had tapas before. It was unbelievably busy and we were reading the menu when one of the servers came out and asked if we wanted a table.... It was a 30 minute wait but we could a get a drink at one of the restaurants next door. We did and received a beeper. When our table was available, they brought our drink next door and the feast began. Wild Boar was one of the specials and was amazing! Our 2 favorites were the wild mushrooms and the cheese and Serrano... read more

Best Tapas place in NYC – Great food, great wine list and the friendliest staff in NYC. Everything was great. Very small but cozy place. Would not go on a weekend night but was great for a Monday night. The tortilla, garlic shrimp and chorizo are the way to go. Would recommend to anyone.

Wonderful! – We live nearby and have been regulars since the beginning. Spectacular Tapas, great Spanish wine list, and welcoming service from Natalie and her staff. On the site of The Bagel, a venerable Greenwich Village hole-in-the-wall, the joint is tiny, but worth returning to if it's too crowded the first time.
