RecommendedDespite living in Maryland for 2 years, I had not gone to a Mexican restaurant here. Sadly. good/authentic Mexican restaurants are not as plentiful here on the East Coast. ☹ Well, I finally I went today for lunch. Oh how I miss La Fogata and my favorite bartender of all time, Rene! The Mexican restaurant in MD, is nothing in comparison. The food was just "okay" and my bartender was not nearly as friendly and welcoming as Rene has been to me from the very first time I came to the Evans location in 2010. We love La Fogata! We have been going here for over 25 years! They are so friendly! Service is great , food is always good and at a very reasonable price!
My family and I have been going there for 20 years best food ever and the staff is great, we go to the one on Evans and Holly.
They don’t supply chips for “Take Out” orders 😵 WOW - how much do some chips cost? Oh, but they supply them to customers who “sit down” at the tables - I am a paying customer too - “Oh, we will give you some chips now, but this is an exception, once” Seriously? Won’t be back 😒

We are sorry you feel that way, but for the 28 years we’ve been in business we have never offered free chips and salsa for our to-go orders. We are happy to offer it to our dine-in guests, but since it did become an issue with your order, we gladly did it for you this time. Thanks for your comment.
A wonderfully homey place. Always a welcome &how are you tonight. Comfortable atmosphere. I live in this part of town. I wouldn't trade this restaurant for anything! Hearty laughter and Good fresh food, always! Highly recommended 😚😚😚😚😚
