Asked for a survey/marked property lines. Was quoted $585, which I thought was reasonable. However, all I got was 6 stakes marking the .25 acre property. Was then told that they charge by the hour. So, it took 1.5 hours to find the 3 original pins and mark a new one and it took another 1.5 hours to mark it on the computer. So I guess it took 1.5 hours to draw a very basic rectangle and I was charged for that without even getting anything to show for it, until I asked.
