Tishma built us a 12x14' patio for $6000 that sunk and went wonky within weeks after the first light rain. Checking under pavers I found 3" of sand over clear 3/4 gravel. Industry standard is a base of gravel with stone dust, followed by 2-4" crushed stone, then no more than 1" sand. Our sand is washing into the gravel, making the pavers sink. We got ripped off and now the new guy wants $4000 to fix Tishma's shoddy work.
