Honestly this is the place to go if you want an authentic Dinkytown restaurant experience. A fun, quirky place tucked away in the corner of an old brick building, that is staffed by two wonderful human beings who serve hot and delicious food every day. There hasn’t been a pasty that I haven’t liked yet made by these two. Also make sure not to skip on the spicy-sweet mayo that they custom prepare. My favorite food in the University area, and one of my favorite places in the city!
Perfect crust, warm and gooey on the inside, and the fries are BAKED! The uncle-nephew owner team were so friendly and told me the fascinating story behind the legendary Cornwall Pasty: "A traditional handheld pot pie baked by the miners' wives for their husbands' lunch bag....and every one has a bit of apple pie at the end." The food was delicious, but even better was the opportunity to talk to the proprietors, who were both welcoming, friendly, and engaging people. 100% will be coming back!
This was my first pasty experience and I loved it! I tried three different kinds and they were all great. Friendly owners too :)
