13 YR LOYAL CUSTOMER- dropped like a hot potato , We just spent over 2600.00 with LRP on our Discovery to have the head gasket rebuilt. 4 weeks later the service engine soon light comes on, we are then told, just a call from the service department offering us 900.00 but telling us we need a new engine. That will be 7000.00 miss, I have requested a refund of the original 2600.00 and have heard nothing from them. Just Poor all around – Overpriced parts, poor service, pushy salespeople. They may be the only area LR dealer so maybe you will have to deal with it. Take your LR here with a flat tire and you'll leave with a 6-page invoice for thousands. Never seen anything like it. DiscoveryII is absolutely correct and I wish him/her luck. When you are getting raped on price at least do it kindly. There guys act like they are doing you a favor.
Trusting Land Rover of Portland is a mistake. – 16 Feb 2008, my truck overheated & the engine service light came on. I had it delivered to Land Rover of Portland & told it will cost $247.00 to investigate the problem. 18 Feb 08 I was told the head gaskets has blown & the air-box was warped. I told them to replace the thermostat to be safe.
