I highly recommend Dr. Chaldecott. I had back problems for years and saw several surgeons. No one compares to Dr. Chaldecott. After a failed back surgery (from a different doctor) I saw Dr. Chaldecott. He is thorough, has an excellent bedside manner and actually cares about his patients. He explained that my surgery would be a high risk. He performed a 3-level spinal fusion in 2017 and made revisions to the failed surgery. it is now 18 months post surgery and I am virtually pain free.
Excellent Doctor. Listens to patients concerns and addresses them before they leave the office. He is thorough when he does all his exams. Surgery day he meets with you, makes sure that your comfortable with diagnosis and that you fully understand what actions are being done to correct your problem. Outstanding Doctor. Thank you. My son sees Dr Chaldecott every 6 months for scoliosos. Dr Chaldecott has a great bedside manner and explains everything thoroughly at every visit!
Being a neurosurgical nurse for almost 15 years & manager of neurosurgery currently, I am very familiar with the surgeries. When I needed a spinal fusion 5 years ago I went to him. He's a very competent surgeon. Very thorough and does things old school. I haven't had back issues since. He is compassionate about his work. Not to mention his bedside manner is impeccable. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Chaldecott if you want your surgery done right.
I have had two surgeries performed by Doctor Chaldecotte. A neck fusion and a spinal fusion. Both operations were very successful. I was impressed with his demeanor. He took the time to explain everything to me and my wife. He was always there to answer any concerns we had. He is a kind and caring doctor and I would recommend him to anyone.
MY EXPERENCE WITH DR. CHALDECOTT...HAS BEEN THE WORSE EXP IN MY LIFE. HE OPERATED ON MY BACK MAY 12,2016. HE DIDNOT PUT A DRAIN IN MY BACK....HERE IT IS JUNE 15....MY BACK IS STILL DRAINING...SOAKS MY CLOTHES...FURNITURE.MY BACK ITCHES AND BURNS FROM ALL THE DRAINAGE AND PATCHES THAT I HAVE TO WEAR. I WOULDN'T TAKE A DOG TO HIM FOR A BANDADE. NOW THAT MY BACK IS MESSED UP...HE WON'T ANSWER MY CALLS OR RETURN MY CALLS. HELP...MY BACK IS A MESS THANKS TO WYANDOTTE HOSPITALS SO CALLED GREAT DOCTOR.
I was referred to Dr. Chaldecott by another orthopedic surgeon. I felt Dr. Chaldecott did a great job reviewing my MRI and discussing implications. He was thorough and upfront when discussing what treatment options I had and what I could expect from surgery if I decided to go that route. I ended up opting for surgery (a discectomy) and couldn't have asked for a better outcome. I have no reservations recommending Dr. Chaldecott.
He was wonderful, not only did he repair my back but he was very reassuring and kind. He explains everything in detail and makes sure you understand what is going to happen. I would heartily recommend him
