Being our third truck camper, the lance by far is the better choice. The design, the products used in in the camper. It's excellent value for the money. Can' wait to go camping! All ready making plans for the summer. We still have some snow on the ground. But won't last long. Love our Lance !

We purchased a 2015 1172 Lance camper and it was the worst decision I ever made. I thought I was buying a quality camper but it has been in the shop more often than at my house. Due to the jack motors and slide controllers I was forced to cancel several trips last year and now I will be canceling another trip we planned to take over spring break. I went to dewinterize and get it ready to go and the jacks and both slides failef again. We just brought it home January of this year after a 5 month repair and will be sending it b... read more

2011 Lance 1985 - love it (except for the leaky water heater) On our 59th trip with "Lancelot". It's been a great TT with one flaw, the propane water heater leaks into the bathroom floor near the tub. Serviced twice under warranty. Followed tips from Trailer Life about filling hwh tank first but we're still getting water on the floor when heating with propane. Any suggestions are welcome. Signed, Loyal Lance User

Stop using plastic connectors in your water pressure lines! Its a beautiful camper but the plastic connectors fail over time and the resulting water damage can be catastrophic! Note: the water lines are PEX with the steel crimp type clamps on the plastic connectors. This system is EXTREMELY difficult and EXPENSIVE to repair when failure occurs in an inaccessible spot. And an un-noticed water leak can cause massive damage over time. THIS IS A VERY POOR DESIGN.

I've had my trailer for a little over a year and it has had 7 leaks. It now has permanent water damage and is essentially unusable. The response from Lance: that's normal for a trailer!
