I trained at the former "St Joseph's Hospital Paramedic Institute" (class of 82) under the late, legendary W Robert Broome. I returned to St Joseph's the following year as a Medic 1 Paramedic. The Hospital owned and operated Paramedic services of that era clearly produced the BEST prehospital care that I have ever witnessed in my 35+ year career.
