I called in May to make an appointment. The earliest I could be seen was the end of July. I was told I would receive a phone call. I did not. When I tried to follow up, it was several days before his wife returned my message. I had been overlooked so we rescheduled for today at noon. By 4pm I still had not heard from them so I reached out only to be told he would call me eventually because he had been busy. He then called me. 4 hours after my appointment time. Dr. Lancaster is a great psychologist who really cares about his patients.
My teenage daughter was referred to Dr. Lancaster by her pediatrician. I was surprised that she opened up and talked to him. He seems to really care about his patients.
My son was 3 when we first started his testing for Autism. With him being so young, not many doctors would see him. Our therapist recommended him and within a month we heard back. At first things we decent, we did ZOOM calls and just talked. He did make a few comments that bothered but such as "well he looks fine to me." It's hard to diagnose someone over zoom but after he read his notes and things from other teachers and therapist and gave me a form to fill out he decided to go with HIGH functioning autism. I really enjoy how Dr Lancaster works with my daughter . He is very good with kids & digs deep in research to figure out what’s goin on when diagnosing a child
Dr. Lancaster provided testing for our pediatrician. We were very pleased.
He did testing for ADHD for my child and worked with our pediatrician to get medication started.
He really helped my son who has been struggling with virtual learning. Dr. Lancaster takes plenty of time and I never felt rushed. he took his time and was very thorough.
2) cognitive therapy is a huge help in those with ODD. He also made a point to try and talk about me as a mom, because I have anxiety and was quiet at the appointments... He should have known what anxiety looks like but instead he said I was a pushover to my son. He also focused wayyy too much on ADHD and was writing a book, he said.. He wanted to basically profit off my kids experiences with school and his "ADHD" that I still believe isn't accurate. Fast forward to that summer.
