Service was great, but food was extremely small and mediocre for the price. We tried probably a third of the menu and nothing was notable or interesting about the food. I loved the setting and ambiance and ran into some friends while there, the overall experience was great. I guess my issue is that if I’m spending 300$+ on a meal for 4 people I don’t want to wait 2+ hours for extremely disappointing food.
I really loved this place. The atmosphere is fun and modern, the service was great, and the food felt very polished for the price. The short rib was the standout, incredibly tender and packed with flavor over creamy polenta. The hamachi was also excellent, soft and delicate with a slightly sweet, floral quality. The only real miss was the broccolini, which was a little stringy. Overall, the main dishes were beautifully balanced and memorable. I would absolutely come back.
Finally! A casual but elegant dining option along the coast that has food worthy to report and we will put on our repeat list. We ordered the mussels (more on these later), the halibut, the burger and the pork chop. All of the dishes were well executed, had great balance and made us want to come back for more. Finally, an actual destination restaurant in Solana Beach. A truly deserved 5 stars for the food, service, atmosphere, and value. The beautifully renovated space perfectly blends fine dining, a sophisticated bar, and a lively social atmosphere. Exceptional cocktails, an expertly curated wine selection, and delicious, beautifully presented dishes. A must-visit in Solana Beach for any occasion.
I'm so glad Lana has opened up in our neighborhood. It's great having a new spot to meet up with friends. I am obsessed with their yellowtail sashimi, chopped salad, and organic half chicken. The cocktails are super fun, as well as their wine nights.
Lana has a 4.5 star rating with 175 reviews.
Lana is closed now. It will open at 4:00 p.m.
