Absolutely, horrible place to stay.\n I don't even know where to start. I seen reviews speaking of mid last year of construction going on. The place still had tons of construction going on the hallways, smelt like weed and piss. My room had roaches, the TV didn't work the A. C, you could not control it. The light system was horrible. I felt uncomfortable as it had so many things plugged into an electrical outlet. I stayed at the Lamplighter Inn in Springfield, Missouri, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. The hallways had a strong, unpleasant smell that hit immediately upon entering. The carpets throughout the property looked dirty and poorly maintained, with visible trash in several areas. There were also noticeable holes and damage in the walls, which made the place feel neglected overall. Cons: Facilities need an overhaul, though it looks like the owners have done what they can. None of the electrical outlets worked. Everything in the room was on an electrical bar that we turned on when we came in. Shower doesn't drain. Pros: good customer service, amenities, free breakfast.
Room was in horrible shape. Walls and ceiling show signs of major water damage. Couldn't use AC/ heat due to horrible smell coming from the unit. After signing the agreement not to smoke in the room we unlock the door to the smell of an old ash tray. Bathroom door had a towel shoved under it and exhaust fan on which tells me the cleaner had just been there smoking in the bathroom.
