From out of town and lost my radiator in Bee Cave. Charged me $915 for a job www.cars.com says should cost $478-$656. My local mechanic said $600 would have been too much. They also replaced the thermostat (retail$27) for $75. What a joke!

They lied – They used to be real good back when Bob was there. Bob always made us a good deal and took great care of us. Well, he transferred to a different store last summer and boy did we tell the difference this last week! I took my car in because I knew the brake pads were worn down to the metal. I had called Lambs the week before to ask approximately how much it would cost to have brake pads replaced. The guy told me it would run between $190 to $220. So, I saved up the money and took it in. The guy looked at it and did... read more

Austin's worst Auto Shop – I went to Lambs and had my inspection done, I had only had the car a short time, but the inspection still needed to be updated. When I get this establishment I was asking different questions about which tire is better. The guy responded with "well duh its a strip of rubber". If they are all the same then why are they priced differently? The same guy tells me I need 4 new tires, and windshield wipers in order to pass inspection. When I asked what did windshield wipers have to do with inspection and i... read more

Did not do work I paid for! – A couple of years ago I paid Lambs $136 to replace the in-cabin air filter on my Honda Pilot. Recently took it to another place for the same service ($87) and the mechanic stated that it was a "first time" change. Apparently on Pilots you have to cut out a plastic panel the first time you change this filter and it had never been done! I used to take it to Lambs for cheap oil changes and inspections but never again. They always "find" some other expensive thing they say needs to be fixed but real... read more

What a Disaster! – These comedians installed a $350 tire (asymmetrical tread) on my car inside out. On retuning to the shop to rectify the error they somehow proceeded to scratch the hell out of my alloy wheel. I would have had better luck in the Third World.

Scam Artists – I brought my car in for an inspection. I drive a Saab Convertible. After 20 minutes of them inspecting the car I noticed the technician leaning over and pulling on some hoses. I wondered what was taking so long since I had just had the car serviced at my dealer and all was in good working order. The manager called me to his desk and informed that there was a hole in my pressure hose. Not only did this seem improbable, but then the manager noted that if I wanted to get it fixes he had already called for parts a... read more

going back to Lamb's – I have gone to a couple of Lamb's, little stuff like oil changes and big stuff like tires. With the tires, they match prices so I got a good deal, and I know they are going toinstall them correctly - I have gone to anothe rplace - not a lamb's before - and most shops don't align the tires so you may have a great tire for cheap but you wear through it fast - lamb's got my tires aligned and I have had very little wear for as much as I have driven them. Oil changes, cheap for twenty bucks so I keep coming... read more

Stay Clear of This Shop – Here is my review, I'm a woman and I have an engine problem. I drove from Austin to Rockdale not knowing my engine was making a noise. When I got to Rockdale I heard the weird sound. So I called Lambs was told not to drive it. I had it towed from Rockdale to Lambs they checked the car told me it was a lifter not getting oil so I told them to fix it. well that cost about 800.00's then when I got it home and a day later my car was making a noise and my battery light was on. So I took the car to lambs ... read more
