It's been 5 years and I still haven't gone back. We were treated like scum. My 2 kids were being really good. Playing in the booth and not making a mess, but the waitress wouldn't bring them a drink, glared at them the entire time we were there, was obviously irritated that I ordered them food and got it to us as quickly as possible and never came back to the table. The food and price was good, but I don't think I've ever been treated worse just for having children with me.

What a great little gem on 7th in Joplin. I discovered this place last Monday for lunch and enjoyed it so much I ate it again for dinner! Hard to find quality and service. Excellent food and people, will be back many many times!
Their food is filling, yet light enough to where you don't feel groggy after eating, unlike other Mexican restaurants. Their menu is cheap for quality food and the flan is AMAZING!!! Way to be, Lalo's.💚
If you’re looking for an authentic taste Lalo’s is definitely the place! One of Joplin’s hidden gems. Highly recommend this place. Service and food quality is extremely good. Their menu will satisfy anyone’s taste buds when looking for that true authentic experience.
