The Genuine look & feel of a restaurant you'd find in Mexico This one is great,good ambient, has its own bar & has alot of room, the one in Oak Park is ok but smaller & fixtures are more crowded, the Seafood is my favorite & the drink selection is good. Gets packed & a little noisy(who wants to talk in whispers?) during the weekends but who says thats a bad thing when you wanna have a good time!
Lalo's Good Mexican restaurant its usually crowded and parking is hard to find on the days that it gets like this. But if its an off day the wait isn't that bad. The food is good and they give you a lot. The decor is ethnic and they usually have a mariachi band. The margarita's are strong and after one or two you will be ready for a night of fun and good food!

Lalo's I like the food at Lalo's. This was always a great place for us to go for Birthdays when I lived in the area. They have been around for years and are always packed!
Lalo's Restaurant in Berwyn is bad; the one in Oak Park is terrific! The Lalo's in Berwyn is awful. Bad food in an unclean restaurant. Very disappointing, considering what a fan I am of the Lalo's in Oak Park. That's an excellent place to eat. Avoid the one in Berwyn and head north on Oak Park Ave. - it's well worth the short trip!
Great authentic Mexican I love going to Lalo's for lunch. They have a great selection and you get chips, salsa and soup (which is excellent) with your lunch. You get great portions as well. We also have gotten dinner/lunch catered where I work and is always great. They also have great sangria.
Go somewhere else for Mexican food I don't get it - Lalos is always crowded but I find the food lackluster as well as their margaritas. The place is VERY loud and diffiicult to have a conversation in. There is often live music - a pianist - or loud music blasting. For quality mexican food, go down the road to Las Fuentes restaurant in Stickney. PROS: plenty of people to people-watch, affordable CONS: crowded, loud, lackluster food
