Honestly, it is scary having major back surgery. I can’t tell you how many times I almost backed out. Fortunately I received clear concise answers from Dr. Sekhon and Curt Erickson and hung in there. So glad I did because there is light at the end of the tunnel and I’m only 6 weeks post op.
My rheumatologist referred me to Dr. Sekhon after months of undiagnosed leg pain. After an MRI, he was able to diagnose disc slippage and compression of spinal cord nerves. I have had great pain reduction from a prescription he gave me, plus detailed explanation and behavior guidance. What impressed and reassured me what that he said surgery is my last resort. I live well according to his recommendations and am hopeful to continue to be comfortable without surgery. Thank you, Dr. Sekhon.

I was extremely scared about having lumbar fusion Dr. Shekhon took the time to answer all my questions. I had never had a major surgery this before but I felt comfortable with my decision the surgery and have Dr.Shekhon preform it.
Was happy to have got Dr Sekhon as my surgeon for my cervical spine. He was not quick to recommend surgery as he thinks my issue will resolve in time with PT. I wanted to avoid surgery. So was glad I had a surgeon that didn’t just think that was the only option. He sees many cases like mine. So I feel confident with his care.
I had a spinal fusion by Dr. Sekhon. The result was fantastic. Before surgery I could only walk a few hundred feet and was in constant severe pain. Now I am totally pain free. I since sent four other people to Dr. Sekhon, and they all had surgery and all had similar results as I did. Thank you Dr. Sekhon for giving me a pain free life.
Dr. Sekhon explained the options to me about surgery to relieve the nerve pain in my right leg. His first recommendation was not to perform surgery first but to try some PT options. Unfortunately pain persisted so I requested surgery which was performed, a laminectomy, and I am 7 weeks post op doing very well. No pain since the recovery room after surgery. Awesome neurosurgeon.
