I recently had lower spinal surgery under the deft hands of Dr. Lali Sekhon. Surgery took 3-1/2 hours, and Dr. Sekhon fused several pins and a plate, so it was extensive. Dr. Sekhon has been our family neurosurgeon since 2007, for both my husband and myself. The care and compassion he has for his patients and their families, along with his excellent surgical skills, definitely make him an asset to the local medical community. Honestly, it is scary having major back surgery. I can’t tell you how many times I almost backed out. Fortunately I received clear concise answers from Dr. Sekhon and Curt Erickson and hung in there. So glad I did because there is light at the end of the tunnel and I’m only 6 weeks post op.
My rheumatologist referred me to Dr. Sekhon after months of undiagnosed leg pain. After an MRI, he was able to diagnose disc slippage and compression of spinal cord nerves. I have had great pain reduction from a prescription he gave me, plus detailed explanation and behavior guidance. What impressed and reassured me what that he said surgery is my last resort. I live well according to his recommendations and am hopeful to continue to be comfortable without surgery. Thank you, Dr. Sekhon.

I was extremely scared about having lumbar fusion Dr. Shekhon took the time to answer all my questions. I had never had a major surgery this before but I felt comfortable with my decision the surgery and have Dr.Shekhon preform it.
