Dont even think about renting here, worst management ever
If I could give 0 stars I would. This is NOT a legitimate company. I have NEVER had such a hard time getting a lease with a company than I have with Lakewood. They do illegal practices will run credit checks without authorization even go for to say a co-signer needs to be responsible for damage deposits. If you have an organization back you for a co-signer they will not accept you either which is an illegal practice! I wish they didn’t accept a damage deposit before approving my application as well. Rude staff and will give you nothing in return from the security deposit amount. They will charge you unnecessary on the name of cleaning. We left our apartment very cleaned with no damage still they deduct more than half amount from my security deposit.
I don’t usually write reviews, but while looking up the address for Lakewoode Agency’s headquarters regarding a rent increase, I came across some negative reviews. Never, ever, ever rent from these people. I also had black stuff coming through my carpeting that made me sick. I spent 4 days in the hospital. My Doctor provided a note saying if I didn't move it would continue to make me sick. After providing the Dr.s note I was released from my lease. ( Doesn't this say that they agreed my apartment was making me sick?)
