I was at the Park Ridge office on January 7th for a skin cancer check with a referral from my Dr at Lutheran General. My visit lasted 10 minutes. Dr Scurto scanned my body in less than 5 min. then froze off a wart on my index finger in 10seconds, when my bill came I was in schock! Office visit $217.00 ,destruction of binign leions $226.00!!! total $442.00 ! For a 10 minute visit that is what I was charged. After my PPO was billed they paid $225.35. I saw a PA and she didn't even bother to look at my hair sat in the the chair and told me to get rogaine. She did a blood test and a week later I have heard nothing. It was costly for me to have someone sit in a chair and tell me I need rogaine.
Doctors don't work after 5pm or on weekends so unless you want to take a day off of work, go somewhere else.
RecommendedDr. Mandrea is outstanding in his professionalism and knowledge in his vertical. He easily evaluated, diagnosed, and remedied my skin issues with great success. After doling out thousands of dollars on ineffective products and procedures, I was giving a topical that immediately went into effect and cleared up my blemishes. The office is a hole-in-the-wall and outdated, and the staff can be rather inattentive and curt, but Dr. Mandrea makes it worth the visit.

I have been coming to the Palos Heights location for 15 years or more. Shanna and Michele have always gone above and beyond to help me with any billing or insurance issues. The staff is always friendly and very helpful as well. I refer everyone I know to them.
The staff at Lakeview Dermatology, especially Shanna and Michelle, treat patients without empathy, kindness or patience. It seems that they have never heard of the idea of being an advocate for patients. I was having trouble understanding whether or not I needed a referral and they would not take the time to help me figure out what I needed in order to see a physician. They been my only dermatologist for the past decade. Love this place. Always done a good job, you can't even tell where the moles I had removed were. Barely a scar.
