I am writing this review because I am extremely disappointed with the level of service I have received since selecting Dr. Mapplethorpe as my primary care provider. While Dr. Mapplethorpe has always been kind and professional, my experience with the practice itself has been very frustrating. I have been without my medication for over a month due to ongoing issues with communication and prescription management. Scheduling and communication are a major challenge with this doctor’s office. While Dr. Maplethorpe is very thorough and proactive during appointments, I frequently had my appointments cancelled or rescheduled, sometimes even within an hour before my scheduled time. If you work and have to rearrange your own schedule to accommodate available appointment times, this can be an issue and inconvenience. Fantastic Doctor, Absolute Administrative Disaster I am writing this with a heavy heart because Dr. Maplethorpe is genuinely one of the kindest and most attentive physicians I have ever encountered. However, the office operations at Lakeside Family Physicians are so incompetent that I would never recommend this practice. I'd leave zero stars if I could right now. I'm very very disappointed in Lakeside Family Physicians. For weeks, I've been trying to contact them about medical records for my son who is now 15. He saw myself and Dr. Maplethorpe about 2 days after he was born. Over the years, we relied on Lakeside Family Physicians for his pediatric care and vaccinations.
