It was déjà vu. Last time stepping through these doors was 1974, grade 12 assignment on the mentally challenged. The bars are gone from the windows. There is no noise. No wood working shop. But the building is alive! My mother went into the transitional unit (waiting for long term placement) only weeks ago. Once I got pass the the initial impact of the LPH location, I realized this unit in the C wing, is an exceptional caring and friendly unit.
