My dog had surgery in May to remove potentially cancerous lumps. I explained after the surgery the stitching did not look right and they told me it was right and the skin would flatten over in a couple months. Went in for the suture removal and they forgot stitches. Now, my dogs scar has broken open because the incision was not closed properly. RecommendedLake Michigan Animal Hospital's staff is Fabulous. Very welcoming atmosphere and they treat each pet as their own.
Our groomer, after finding a hideous ulcered cyst on Dexter's tail, suggested LMAH. So glad we followed her advice. We had a second opinion from another onsite Vet and their recommendations where alot to consider. Amputation or removal of just the cyst. They spent slot of time with us and gave us all the options. We met the surgeon, Dr. Ricco, the morning of the procedure and we felt we could not have made a better choice. Dexter is bouncing back with his tail intact. He hates the E collar tho🤪.
This is absolutely the best vet around! We were only with them for a short time, but so glad we made the switch when we did. Our Allie Mae sadly passed away, but these people were so good to her and to us for the time we spent with them. Losing her was one of the hardest things we had to go through and they made us feel so comfortable through the whole thing. We especially want to thank Dr. Ricco and Samara for comforting us that very sad day. You all have a special gift and we are very thankful you came to Allendale.
Had the best experience, so glad I came here for my fur child. Dr and techs were super nice and helped us so much. Maci liked them too. I will be back for sure and recommending — with Alexis Anna-mae Emelander.
They were amazing and so caring when we were dealing with having to put our fur baby to sleep.

The staff here are wonderful and the prices are reasonable. I was able to have questions answered over the phone a number of times while my kittens were recovering from a parasitic infection.
I would highly recommend this vet to anyone, with pets! Their prices are lower than most chain vet places, but still have the highest quality of care. My dog Harvey has been going there for about 5 months now from puppy shots to being neutered & he still gets super excited to go inside! To me that shows they take perfect care of him even behind the scenes!
