Way to many mosquitoes from standing water throughout that campground and the Grass was high. I had to pay for my mom to come to stay which was $5 a day but to have her car stay was $10 a day. Bathrooms were not clean by the pool area. Would have liked a few more activities for the kiddos.
We had a great week! The staff was nice, the site and bath houses were clean. My husband loved fishing in the lake. There was some large construction vehicles and noise during the day which was understandable in preparation for the Holiday weekend end but all in all a wonderful experience and we will return!
The only reason we gave it a 1 Star is because there’s no option for ZERO STARS. Hi my small scout troop (2 adults & 2 girls. Older troop so only 2 could make the trip) stayed at KOA Cape May NJ this weekend. We are local & live in South Jersey all our lives however have gone to quite a few KOA’s on the east coast and this was our 1st experience in our “backyard” KOA. Spent Mother’s Day weekend at KOA Cape May (Lake Laurie). I had spent many of summers there as a kid and loved it then. Fast forward to this past weekend and we had a blast. Still love it! We stayed in a cabin and we pleased they had everything we needed. Brought back great memories and plan to go back during the summer!
Staff friendly and helpful. Fairly large campground with a lot of seasonal sites, many of which are quite old. The newer area for day campers is clean and roomy... probably 20 pull thru sites and another 20 back in. Restrooms clean, showers could use updating (there were no benches and only a few hooks to hang clothes. And, the shower is motion sensing, so.. when getting undressed and then dressed, the room is small so the shower kept going ON! Could use a separate dressing area.)
