My Father moved from Dallas 3 years ago to be closer to family. He has been going to the VA ever since then and has received the best of care. Dr. Jon listens to my father's needs and responds immediately. Administration and nursing staff are always accomadating and friendly.
This VA is a joke. There is always something that goes wrong. Either they are giving me medicine that makes me sick or I'm allergic to and break me out with rashes. Today I took off of work for three appointments. They only saw me for 20 minute questions. I didn't get blood work, paper smear or talk to my therapist. I called Wednesday to verify my appts for today. I took off for nothing today. This place is so unreliable!!!!! No wonder veterans go crazy!
The staff in the front office is very rude. They like to talk down to the veteran. To get them to do anything for you, takes repeated calls and "pass the buck" is usually the response. They have very little empathy for a dying veteran.
Almost everytime I call their front desk, I am greeted with just static and no operator. How am I supposed to make an appointment here when y'all don't offer online scheduling when your front desk operator's phone is inoperable? Or when your front desk operator seems like he doesn't know what he's doing? The very few times the front desk picked up, it was the same dude who seemed to either have a speech impairment or was very incompetent. I recently had my first visit at the Lake Jackson location. I had been very sick and my care provider from the Houston VA did not seem address my issues. While I was staying in Sargent, my upper respiratory issue had gotten worse. I called this location and was informed that I could come as a walk-in. Let me tell you, what a HUGE difference !
