Built and inhabited between 1200 and 1500 CE, Lake Jackson Mounds Archaeological State Park was the ceremonial center for the people of the Lake Walton culture. Great trails
I was there today for the first time in 3 yrs. Beautiful as always, but I was disappointed to see they have rerouted the creek that used to flow through the park to lake Jackson, has now been filled in. SMH. Water will flow downhill to the next source pool.
