I visited The Lafayette Hotel for my birthday this Saturday with a group of friends. It was our first time visiting, and we were all really excited to experience the hotel. Unfortunately, our interactions with one staff member, who I later learned was named Lemonce, really put a damper on the night. We went on a date night to grab some drinks and absolutely loved this place. The decor and design are incredible so vibrant and full of personality. The drinks were really good, and even though it was pretty crowded, the service was fast and attentive. What I loved most is that there are several different clubs/speakeasies inside the hotel, so you can move around from one vibe to another without ever leaving. Highly recommend for a fun date night!
I hate to give the La Fayette Hotel 3 stars, but there were a few things that I could not ignore. I was fooled to think that I was staying at some kind of exclusive resort, when really alot of the advertised activities are out of reach. They are called a "hotel and club" yet everything requires a reservation which is recommended to be booked weeks in advanced. Loved it. These 2 Bar staff were excellent.
Arrived 3:15, check in was long and took a lot of time, to be expected because it’s check in hour. They were very friendly upon arrival, paid for valet and valet service was 5 stars. Penthouse is mid, not worth the cost and no fridge. To be expected because of the age of hotel. Was greeted by a barking neighbor dog and the room does have ear plugs, obviously because it is needed.
