I have been living here for about a month and overall it has been a really lovely time. It is an older building so it has its quirks - older doors, windows with no screens, and only a few sockets with ground pins. Of note the community manager Julie has taken the time to get to know the tenants. She has given me updates on parking during events, been on top of giving me a key to the bike storage, and helpful for getting maintenance done (which has been completed promptly by Larry). I’ve been living at the Lafayette Apartments for two years now and have loved every moment of it! I’ve even encouraged my friends to move in because it’s such a great place. The rent is relatively low for its location downtown so close the Pearl District and Providence Park. The building is also right next to a public transportation station making the building accessible for folks without personal vehicles, but if you do have a car we also have a parking lot across the street! Just wow, where do I begin well for starters an amazing place to live in downtown Portland. Absolutely beautiful building truly has life breathing through it with its old but lively decor. Plus the amazing management they have Julie, I mean words simply just don’t cut it but truly a 1 of 1 human being such a helpful, kind and generous person . 10/10 place 10/10 management . Love it here
