Located between Madonna and Jacksonville, the Topiary Gardens are one of the most beatific tourist locations in the state. This 22 acre property was purchased by Harvey Ladew in 1929 and redone completely. There are more than 30 sub gardens housing some 100 huge topiary forms. *NOT* your typical garden, arboretum, or park. Extraordinary settings, garden "rooms," inventiveness everywhere you look. A wonderful day trip, perhaps for an event, or just to wander.
Love it at Ladew. We are members so we can go as many times as we want. We see something new every time. The employees are super helpful and make your visit a worthwhile one.
We truly enjoy visiting Ladew whenever we go to Maryland to visit our Son and his family. Not only beautiful Gardens but a great place for lunch. The best Chicken Salad sandwich ever.
