Located between Madonna and Jacksonville, the Topiary Gardens are one of the most beatific tourist locations in the state. This 22 acre property was purchased by Harvey Ladew in 1929 and redone completely. There are more than 30 sub gardens housing some 100 huge topiary forms. The house and grounds are beautifully decorated for the Christmas season. Brought our grandsons with us and they enjoyed the tour, along with the scavenger hunt.
The gardens are incredible and I look forward to watching flowers spring forth by revisiting soon.Not only that last weekend we had the most delicious light lunch at the Cafe! Mix of goat cheese and avocado on bruschetta, topped with bacon and pickled cucumber, carrot, dill garnish. As tasty as it was beautifully presented and not overpriced. Thank you.

Fell in love with Ladew this past summer. Became a member this Christmas. Perfect escape from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Can’t wait to visit as a member in the spring!!
Ladew's Christmas display was amazingly stunning. The docents were so enthusiastic and full of information, and the cafe's selections were delicious. We are planning on returning next year!
