My doctor ordered blood work and I was able to schedule an appointment here near my work. Though my appointment was after 2 pm, I arrived before 12 pm and checked in at the kiosk any way. Things were moving quickly as they called out names and got people in. In less than an hour, I got in and it was done. It was a great experience! There's plenty of seating. Everyone was nice and professional. The parking lot seemed packed before noon but you can find spots in the back.
As many have mentioned, the check-in situation at this Labcorp branch is very disorganized. My appointment was at 2pm and I waited until almost 3pm to get called for my blood draw. I wasn’t really bothered by this—I had time, so I just read a book while I waited. The really shocking part of my visit was the utter rudeness and unprofessional behavior of the tech who drew my blood. She barely spoke to me. The worst John Muir staff I met at this Labcorp location. Front office assistant assumed that I left and took off my name from the list after 1 hour wait. She told me that I have to wait another hour so I left out side the door and was in the car. The lab assistant was super rude and talked to me like I came for a fight. May be she is in a hurry for her phone call. I'm sorry but our experience with this place at Treat Blvd in Walnut Creek gradually became worse and worse. Probably it's not the lab technician's fault, but more organizational issue. They used to lose the paperwork sent from doctors or forget to send results back.... These issues have improved. But the wait is very long, and they are perpetually understaffed.
