Disappointing and upsetting experience with elderly mother I brought my elderly mother to this LabCorp location for a blood draw and we had a terrible experience with the phlebotomist named Faith. From the moment we walked in, Faith was dismissive, and showed zero compassion toward my mother, who was visibly nervous. She didn't take a moment to explain the procedure or reassure my mother—just went straight into the draw. The worst part was the technique. She struggled to find a vein but proceeded anyway, causing my mother si... read more

Update from 8/6 visit: Much better, very nice phlebotomist, not very busy at 8:15 AM, only waited 5 min to be seen with an appointment There's no way to know what place you are in line after checking in on the kiosk. I had to ask at the desk after waiting 35 mins. There should be a TV showing the queue. The phlebotomist was extremely gruff/unpleasant and made me twist and sit sideways on the chair to take blood from my left arm, like 90% of the population prefers. No way an elderly person could have sat like that.

I'm not going to lie, the reviews scared me a bit, but this location was exceptional. I managed to walk in at 8 and get seen maybe ten minutes later at the most. The woman who checked me in was quick and friendly. I had two people trying to draw my blood. It's not a reflection on their capability, but more on my very stubborn veins. The rapport was great, which makes the process easier, and I was out by 8:30 or so. Amazing experience, and will be back for future blood draws.

The same woman who JUST left a giant bloody welt on my mom last year JUST did the same thing to me. When it happened to my mom I thought “well, you’re older and nervous and sensitive” NOPE! This person, either with negligence or malice, just operates in this manner. That behavior DOES NOT inspire confidence that labcorp is SAFE. If your technicians don’t care if they, or care to intentionally, cause damage to patients, then how is the hygiene there, how are the standard operating procedures for cleanliness being followed? I ... read more

I’ve seen some negative reviews about the Walnut Creek LabCorp, but my experience has been consistently positive over the past five years. During my most recent appointment, everything went smoothly. The office was calm, there was little to no wait, and I was seen within minutes of arriving. Zak, who assisted me, was excellent, friendly, professional, and thorough in explaining the process, which helped put me at ease. As someone who is not a fan of needles, I really appreciated his thoughtful approach. The blood draw was qu... read more
