I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the LabCorp facility located at John Muir in Walnut Creek. This has been one of the worst experiences I’ve had with a medical facility. The quality of service has significantly declined, and while I normally avoid this location due to long wait times, I had no choice last week due to the urgency of my situation. Appointment now required and no appointments available anywhere for a week! Why is the Lafayette office closed?
Dolly is a jerk. The rest of the staff are wonderful, including Gia (or jia?) which is why I evened out the rating, but Dolly's customer service skills leave much to be desired. Oh, and I can confirm that LabCorp will NOT pickup the phone. It's their policy, due to LabCorp choosing to not hire enough staff. Don't take this out on the staff, they are literally not allowed to answer
I have gone a few times with no issue. On my recent visit I arrived early for my appointment. In the self check in machine I indicated I had not fasted before my appointment. I waited an hour after my appointment time before I was finally received. Then I was told they could not do the lab because I hadn’t fasted. What a waste of my time. Instructions could be provided with the appointment reminders and they could have turned me away when I checked in and not kept me waiting around.
