Over the years, Lavale Veterinary Hospital has been there for us for after hours emergencies. Fifteen years ago the did a c-section removing a dead kid and saved our goat, another time took us in on Christmas Eve and performed another c-section on our dog whom couldn't pass her last puppy. Last week our Saint Bernard's stomach twisted and they took us in once again after hours and saved his life. Each time the doctor and their techs were very compassionate and professional. Very rude staff , not friendly to dogs at all . My husband and I have given them chances to redeem themselves and every time it’s the same issue , they look at us like they’ve never seen black people before , then treat us and our dog like outcast . Horrible place . 0 stars .

Grammy’s Handsome Baby Boy “Pip” is home and feeling so much better. He was a very sick little kitty yesterday with an extremely bad UTI crystals and blood in his urine and a temperature of 104...but Thanks to Dr Fox and his amazing staff at Western Maryland Animal Hospital, he is still with us. Thank you for your quick response to his needs. We called at 4:15 and he was seen at 4:45. And a new patient! I would highly recommend taking your pet here. Sent our cat home when he clearly has an issue because he squats in the litter box for 25 min trying to pee. When we called, employees were very rude and had attitude. Would not recommend this place and they are money hungry.
Took my cat in cause I had thoughts that maybe he had a uti or something of that nature. Had to keep him there during the day so he could pee so they could check it. They ended up having to draw it out of him, and said that he had a little bit of blood and bacteria in his pee but could be from the catheter. They did not send us home with anything. Just pushed us out the door basically. $100 later... now he’s having some more serious issues.. and we’re currently sitting at another vet right now to get him looked at cause this... read more

The Higgs family would like to thank Dr. Raley and staff for the wonderful and compassionate care provided to our Bridgette girl, over the weekend. We were faced with an emergency visit due to a traumatic injury, with an unknown outcome at the time. I am happy to report that Bridgette is home and recovering with us, all thanks to the knowledgeable, pprofessional, and above all else, caring staff at LVH. I highly recommend LVH for both your day to day and urgent veterinary needs.
