La Unica Great location, atmosphere and food! We loved the service and cheese dip. After eating, go to Brusters right around the corner and get some cold ice cream during the hot season.
This Place is AWESOME This place is amazing, HIGHLY recommended. I always get the combo 5 with two beef enchiladas, rice, and beans. My family is going there for my moms birthday today, and I'm going there for my birthday later this month. Rain or shine, it's La Unica time!
La Unica is great! We love this restaurant! By far the best Mexican restaurant in Indian Trail, if not south Charlotte. We've been regulars since it first opened and have tried most of what's on the menu and have never been disappointed. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to anybody who loves good, authentic Mexican food.
Seriously, someone not 100% happy? Todd you must have not eaten at the right place, this resturant is second to none. We go there weekly, know the staff personally and are greatly disappointed everytime we go somewhere else. ricardo, muy divertido lo que dijo a Todd!
Not completely satisfied We went to La Unica since we do not have many local options out here in Indian Trail. The food was good, but they did not have any plantains, which we thought was strange. The service was good and they were very attentive. everything was served and presented well, but the food quality was not that good. If I was hungry for some Mexican food, I would go back, but only because there is not a lot of choices out here.
THE best restaurant in Indian Trail This has to be THE best Mexican restaurant in the Charlotte area. Great food and great service! Very friendly and helpful staff! My only minor complaint is that I wish they served Marguiritas!
Response to Todd's review. We eat at La UNICA every Friday night. There is no other restaurant in Charlotte or the surrounding ares that can come close to La UNICA when it comes to authentic Mexican food. Todd, if you want to eat plantains you need to go to a Brazilian restaurant, because you went to the wrong place, or Taco Bell may be wright up your alley if you crave American-Mexican food.
tood s is an idiot plantains are mainly a cuban or puerto rican dish not a mexican staple though it can be found in parts of mexico as in cancun which is highly traveled with tourists and i feel that is where your taste for plantains has come from...i am from southern california 12 miles from the mexican border and la unica is the best in all of north carolina. originalmente como mi pais de mexico....so todd u idiot gringo do not place your opinions on here any more , pendejo ....la unica es la mejor de la mejor cabrones....
Delicioso! La Unica is our new favorite Mexican restaurant. Their salsa is fiery hot and to die for. The mid salsa is fresh and tasty as well. Their food is more traditional and not coated with extra gunk like at other mexican restaurants. We used to eat loyally at Salsa's, but no longer. From now on it is La unica for us! Great kids menu too.
