My boyfriend and I spent the night at La Tourelle last night and had one of the best nights we've had as a couple in a long time. We did a couples massage and facial at August Moon and then checked into our beautiful room right after. The view from the room was beautiful and we had some wine next to the pond by the Yellow Barn. The peace and quiet was amazing, as well as our dinner at John Thomas steakhouse, which was walking distance from our room. All of the staff was wonderful and welcoming. 5 star accommodations with down to earth, friendly staff...I am not usually comfortable in a 'fancy' hotel, but this hotel has great staff, cozy atmosphere and very clean. ..I hope to visit again soon. ...thanks for having us (especially because we booked very last minute)
This is the most beautiful and relaxing atmosphere ever. The family that own the place run it and upon entering you feel like and are treated like a friend. The grounds are stunning. The food amazing. There is a walk from the grounds down to buttermilk falls where you can if you wish call the hotel for a lift back. Our room is spacious, comfortable and very clean. Will be sorry to leave. Didn't have the time to use the Spa facilities, maybe next time.
We attended a wedding and stayed overnight. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The wedding and reception looked perfect and every detail covered. The food was fabulous. Breakfast outside at the bistro in the morning was perfect and the food and portions were remarkable. Absolutely perfect.
This is a fairy tale hotel! Everyone on staff is beyond friendly and helpful. The property, is beautiful and leads into the Buttermilk Falls State Park which offers a breathtaking hike. Once that has exhausted you a smiling staff member will retrieve you by car. There is free wine tasting from 5 to 6 every day and chocolate chip cookies can be found on a plate in the lobby.
