Service was terrible, and after I handed them my card to pay, they WROTE in a higher gratuity and charged my card (which sounds highly illegal). Manager just made things worse.
Very nice place and food was great
Italian from NY. Calamari way over cooked and rubbery. they claim homemade sauce but taste like out of a tin can. linguini was mush not al dente. I have no idea where they think they cook Italian. asked for some Italian bread was I formed they dont serve any???

Really disappointed. We come to eat here often. We live in lake lure area. I always order the same thing. Tonight I did the same, shrimp and crab lasagna. It was horrible, dry, old looking and the shrimp were hard and rubbery. I simply didn’t eat it. When the waiter asked if I needed a “to go” box, we informed him of the problems. He then became condescending, assuming I was asking for a refund or something. Which I wasn’t. He then took the meal to the back to show the cook. Never saw the plate again. The server had been to your table shortly after your meal was served to check on your satisfaction and at least one additional time to check on your table to be sure that you had everything that you needed and there was no mention of any food quality issues.We train our servers to check on our guests once they have had a few minutes to taste their food just to be sure everything is satisfactory. Dine here often. Beautiful view of lake, surrounding mountains and Chimney Rock. Food is always very good and service is excellent!. Jason, our server, is very friendly and helpful!
Pizza was very greasy. Menu is not accurate! A member of our party was going to order the chicken fettuccine alfredo and asked to change chicken to shrimp and was advised that it would be a $10 upchage to switch. Menu read chicken alfredo was $17.99 and to change to shrimp was $3 price difference. The waitress then explained that the chicken didnt come with the alfredo just the noodles and sauce for $17.99, to add chicken was an additional $3, and to switch to shrimp was an additional $10. Food was not worth it.

Amanda, Apparently there was a great deal of confusion on this issue. The menu is correct. Maybe you had a server who misunderstood what was being requested or was new and gave incorrect information. If you had brought your concerns regarding the issue to a Manager's attention, it could have been easily cleared up and if it was the server's misunderstanding or error, we would know who the server was so we could re-train them.
