dropped a vespa for repair. 6 months passed with constant excuses and now its closed and i cant get my vespa back. Owner not responding to phone calls. screwed

I took my chinese made scooter to him to repair. Instead of working on it he advised me to sell it due to past experience of these scooters constantly breaking. An honest mechanic. He also lent me a helmet for a passenger with no collateral. Boss has another guy working with him who seems to know his stuff. I never got the impression they were upselling me. The shop is packed with scooter. They also share space with a motorcycle repair guys.
